The news!!! Kinda ....

Me at 20 weeks!
Okay...so it looks like a skeleton...but you can see the black holes...those are eyes, nose and mouth.

There certainly isn't anything to suggest it's a boy...but this is a bottom shot with legs close together...so anything could be tucked up and hiding!!! LOL

Cute little foot!
Both feet! They were moving around like crazy...that's why they're a bit blurry. I guess (she's) making sure she's ready to run around with her brothers.

Well, baby was moving around like a little gymnast...but didn't want to spread her/his legs to make anything 100% for us. We got an 80% chance it's a girl from the tech and a 70% chance it's a girl from her supervisor. I guess God wants me to be more patient and just wait and see. I really feel it's a girl and I so badly want to start calling her by name and getting the room pink...but I must be careful in case a third boy surprises us in April. I'll have to keep receipts and tags for anything that might need to be switched out to blue...but I'm definitely going to have to buy a few frilly girl things!!! They weren't able to get any profile shots because the baby had its face snuggled down and they also didn't get a good look at the heart. Because of that, there is a chance my doctor will decide they want another Ultrasound and perhaps on that day the baby will want us to see more. :) In the meantime, we are thrilled to have seen the baby, heard the heartbeat and we look forward to hearing from our doctor that everything is normal. The tech can't tell us anything but girl or boy. They can't even tell me if the placenta is in an ideal place or not. So...more waiting...but I'm happy to have had my appointment. Ethan is excited to know it looks like he'll have a sister...but we tried to tell him that we're not sure...don't know if he gets that or not.

Thanks all for your prayers! We look forward to your reactions as you try to make out the pictures! They're the most unclear shots I've ever had with a baby...but this one is extremely active! (and I thought my boys were crazy)!

Big Beds!

Well, call me crazy...but last week I decided to dig out the twin bed for Ethan and transfer Jacob to the car bed. For months Jacob crawls up into Ethan's car bed at night and says, "big bed. big bed!" Then screams when we put him in his crib. He wants to grow up and be like brother so bad. So...I figured I'd give it a try. Ethan is doing great in his twin bed...although he has had a couple middle of the night issues with rolling out of bed. I think I need to invest in another guard rail for him. Poor kid! For the most part, the transition has been good with Jacob...but not without a few troubles. He does great for nap time, but at bedtime he likes to get out of his bed and run around; turn up their heater, throw stuffed animals around, change the sounds machine noise or volume, jump on his brother, jump off his bed or Ethan's...nothing too out of the ordinary, right?! We have a code word that Ethan screams out and we fly up the stairs and try to catch Jacob in the act. Most of the time he's leaping back into his bed just as we open the door! He's catching on to the code word! Usually after about 40 min. of us coming in, putting him back in bed and giving him a little "reminder" to stay in bed...he does it and all is quiet until morning. At times I've wanted to get the crib back out...but I'm sure he'll catch on and do great soon. It's only been 5 nights....nap time today went great, so he's getting better and better!

Bear thinks Ethan's bed is pretty cool. Thankfully I had a twin Pooh Bear quilt...but poor Ethan has flowered sheets underneath! I guess his birthday will have to include some boy sheets!!
Jacob just waking up in the morning. He wasn't too thrilled at mommy flashing a camera in his little eyes!

Ethan loves being the big boy. Eventually, we'll make bunk beds. The boys will have a lot more room then, but I'm just not ready for leaping off the top bunk yet!

Pumpkin Patch! and Happy Halloween!

Jacob's Pumpkin after carving and painting!
The boys were really into it this year. My little race car driver and Elmo were all ready to go out and fill up on candy!

Before shot of E's pumpkin...he wasn't so much into the carving...he thought it smelled and was yucky to reach in. He did however choose the pattern, carve out the eyes and nose and then it was his idea to paint the pumpkins once brother was down for a nap.

Jacob was very proud of his pumpkin too!

Ethan's "rainbow pumpkin". He had so much fun being an artist!

Thank God for a warm beautiful Halloween day. Painting would not have been near as much fun inside with mom freaking out over all the paint. Outside was perfect.

All lit up! Isn't it cute?

Ethan's all lit up!
We go see Grandma Goldie each year all dressed up in outfits. They were very proud of themselves and had fun walking around her building showing off for her.

Here the kids are all locked up at the Pumpkin Patch.

Jacob was so cute choosing his pumpkin. He kept saying, "hevy Mama" But, he managed to hold his long enough for a "cheese" shot. :)
Ethan couldn't quite hold his...but really wanted this big one. I gave in and carried it for him.

Riding the big bikes at the Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time with the Merrill's as well as friend from school that came.
